So, remember when I said that I was going to choose the lesser of two evils and vote for Obama? Well, I’ve been carrying my absentee ballot in my pocketbook for about two weeks now and I can not bring myself to do it. I just can not! Then I was like, well, I’m going to vote for McKinney, but then that just defects from my position of not supporting the institutions and systems that have been in place by way of the annihilation and slavery of my ancestors. I simply refuse! Like I told my dear friend Brother Jean, it feels like dead prez took my thoughts and put them on wax, and Malcolm on the end of that song just signed and sealed it for me. Since I was already feeling how I do, getting that confirmation urged me to just follow my gut with no apologies. So fuck voting for fuckery. I’ve been blessed with knowledge of self and all that is around us, so I have a duty to not ignore it. I’m confident! End of story. Now take a listen.
