This is so over the top for a cell phone. This IPhone got pimped out with a 22 carat gold  body and is encrusted with 190 diamonds. the Design for this and many others is Stuart Hughes. The Iphone after being done up is delivered in a Granite case(shown below). This non-sense is real lite work for a estimated $3.2 Million.

iPhone 3G with no Contract

AT&T will begin to sell the iPhone 3G without any contracts and unlocked. The Price are much more than with contracts at $599 for the 8gb and $699 for the 16gb. The phones brought under a two year contract prices remain the same. In the states the unlocked phones only work on T-mobile and AT&T.

4GB iPod Shuffle announced

The Third Generation Shuffle is here!! The new iPod Shuffle features a slim aluminum rectangle that measures less than 2 inches. It also comes with more space in a smaller package. Boasting with a 4G capacity this tiny music beast hold up to 1,000 songs.

There is a new VoiceOver feature that allows you to speak the name of a song or artist and that song will play on the new Shuffle. The device is slated to handle 14 different languages.

The device will come in silver or black aluminum and sport a shiny stainless steel clip. Do to the small size of the Shuffle, all the controls have been placed on the headphones. Priced at $79, i can wait to get one.

Apples New Generation Notebooks

Apple has released a new Macbook and a new 15-inch MacBook Pro. The new notebooks all are made from a Precision aluminum unibody enclosure. This makes the macbook thin, light, and more durable. There is a new Ultrathin LED-backlit display used along with the NVIDIA graphics processor for 5x better graphics performance. There is also my favorite the smooth glass Multi-Touch trackpad. The new trackpad is made  out of a wear-resistant etched glass. I awesome new tool form Apple that is a must have.

Apple Threatens iTunes Shutdown over Royalty Dispute

Apple has threatened to shut down the iTunes music store if an obscure three-person board appointed by the Librarian of Congress increase the royalties paid to publishers and songwriters by six cents per song.

The Copyright Royalty Board is scheduled to hand down its decision on these rates by Thursday. As part of their general muscle-flexing of late, music publishers asked the board to increase the royalties paid to publishers and songwriters for the sale of digital downloads from 9 cents to 15 cents per song.

Apple — which has mightily resisted tampering in any way with its 99 cent price point for tracks — said that if the rate hike goes through and the labels refuse to absorb the entire resulting increase, the iTunes music store will become unprofitable.

And, Apple says, it likes making money.

“If the [iTunes music store] was forced to absorb any increase in the… royalty rate, the result would be to significantly increase the likelihood of the store operating at a financial loss — which is no alternative at all,” wrote Apple iTunes vice president Eddy Cue in a statement filed with the board last year, according to Fortune. “Apple has repeatedly made it clear that it is in this business to make money, and most likely would not continue to operate [the iTunes music store] if it were no longer possible to do so profitably.”
